Justice - DTS

 Over 1.5 million are homeless due to the earthquake in Haiti 

“Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”      Psalm 82:3-4

It is easy for us at times to blame others or even God with the evil and suffering in the world. It’s even easier for us to just be passive and forget that there are others who are crying out for help, who are desperately asking if anyone in the world really cares.


We believe and hopefully you will too, that God wants to bring freedom & healing in your life, but also wants to bring that same freedom & healing to those who urgently need it. This school has a very special focus of giving attention to the various social injustices in the world and for outreach the school will travel to Haiti & Dominican Republic. Making this DTS part of your journey, you will not just learn, but also experience a deepening in your relationship with God and realize that you can be a valuable part of what God is doing in the World.


Lecture Phase
You will have the chance to meet new people and make friends from other nations and cultures, as you learn together in a community that prepares you to "do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God" (Micah 6:8).

You will also receive intense discipleship that is real and relational alongside teachings that is creative and interactive. This school will start with 2 months* of teaching sessions from international speakers with global experience and perspective. Some of the topics will include…

  • Missions, Evangelism, & Social Action
  • Worship: the intimacy, essence, identity, and creativity in worship
  • Relationships
  • Missional-Living: How Jesus engages our culture

  • Spiritual Warfare & Gifts
  • Studying the Bible: Inductive Method


Outreach Phase (Field Assignment)
After 3 months of lecture phase, you will be heading off to Haiti, the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere along with Dominican Republic for 2 months of outreach, applying what you have learned. You will be challenged to share what Jesus has done in your life, as there will be many opportunities to see the power of God transforming your life as you reach the lost and hurting in this world.

Your heart will be filled with compassion, as you see first hand the reality of injustice in the world, while working with people who are hurting from social injustice.

This course is also your gateway of empowerment to continue your spiritual journey, by taking other courses or volunteering at any YWAM base across the globe.
